About me
I am a clinical sexologist, couples therapist trained at ISEP Madrid, certified sex coach by ICF, and a clinical psychologist from Venezuela with expertise in hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
My mission is to help you achieve a fulfilling and healthy sexual life, freeing you from insecurities. I will accompany you on this journey, providing tools to facilitate positive change.
My work
Clinical Sexologist & Couples Therapist in Amsterdam
I am Mariana Barrios, a psychologist, clinical sexologist and couples therapist based in Amsterdam. I help individuals and couples improve their intimacy, sexual wellbeing and relationship dynamics through sex therapy and relationship counseling.
Throughout my career, I have seen a significant gap in education and information about sexuality. This has driven my passion for helping clients better understand their sexual health and develop more fulfilling intimate relationships.
Living in the Netherlands has also allowed me to explore holistic approaches to wellbeing, including psychedelic microdosing as an optional integration tool within therapeutic work.
I also work with expatriates from around the world, supporting them with the emotional challenges of migration and cultural adjustment, including migration grief, a topic that frequently appears in my sessions.
Sessions are available in English and Spanish, both online and in person.

My practice is located at Het Coach Huis, a coaching and therapy center in the center of Amsterdam.
